Knut - Wonder

Photobucket

From: Switzerland
Year: 2010
Genre: Mathcore, Hardcore

Here's the new one from Swiss mathcore masters Knut. From what little I've listened to it, it seems to be on par if not better than their previous material.

Machinist - S/T EP

Photobucket
From: U.S.
Year: 2007
Genre: Mathcore, Technical Metal

Pretty crazy mathcore from California I believe. These guys were signed to Debello for a while, but I believe this is the only thing they released.

Anodyne - Lifetime of Gray Skies

Photobucket
From: U.S.
Year: 2004
Genre: Mathcore, Hardcore, Metal

Andrew mentioned this in the comment section of Grind and Punishment one day, so I went and checked them out and as usual he was right in his suggestion. So if you haven't heard these guys (it slipped by me, and I love this style) download immediately-->>

Daughters - S/T

Photobucket
From: U.S.

Everyone probably hates this album with a passion, but I quite like it . . . you've got to admit his voice is pretty unique anyway.

Robotosaurus + Coerce - Split [2010]

PhotobucketR
PhotobucketC
From: Australia/Australia
Year: 2010
Genre: Mathcore, Hardcore,

I really love Robotosaurus' older stuff, but it seems they've gone in more of a mathcore/hardcore direction and further away from the original grindcore sound of their first albums. Coerce has a very similar sound in this regard and seems to have influenced Robotosaurus to head in the same direction as well.

Ion Dissonance - Cursed

Photobucket
From: Canada
Year: 2010
Genre: Death Metal, Mathcore

I've liked these guys ever since I saw them on the first summer slaughter. This album seems to follow in the same footsteps as the previous ones, but in my view sounds a little more extreme than anything they've done.

**Also, I don't know the story or anything, but I do find it weird that the title of the album is "cursed" and the artwork seems to mimic that of the Canadian band with the same name (even though the two sound nothing alike).

The Crinn - Dreaming Saturn

Photobucket
From: U.S.
Year: 2010
Genre: Mathcore, Progressive, Experimental

Most people would probably file this(along with Psyopus) under "Musical Wankery," but I've always kinda like this band since they first came out in 07'. Now they've returned, and you can definitely tell they've matured. Although I haven't given it a thorough listen, but from what I've heard they've actually written songs with actual riffs and have adopted a more of a progressive sound(as opposed to Psyopus who've adopted a pseudo-grind moniker).

Breather Resist - Full of Tongues EP

Photobucket
From: U.S.
Year: 2005
Genre: Mathcore, Hardcore

So I'm kinda going through the list of stuff I should have posted a long time ago and this was near the top. If you haven't heard this band, its about time you did. Mathy and chaotic, yet jangly guitars (reminds at times of Young Widows) matched with equally chaotic drums makes for an awesome listen.

Lye by Mistake - Fea Jur/Arrangements for Fullminating Vective Double Post!!!

Photobucket
From: U.S.
Year: 2009/2006
Genre: Mathcore, Avante-Garde, Experimental

Its hard to even describe this band, since they incorporate so many genres. They do uphold the "Naked City" philosophy of rapid genre changes mid-song, but the songs are definitely more concise and organic than spastic.

Swarm of the Lotus - Sirens of Silence

Photobucket
From: U.S.
Year: 2007
Genre: Mathcore, Sludge, Hardcore

Pretty intense mathy sludge from Baltimore. Really kind of reminds me of a lot of the new Rochester bands, in the vein of Knut, Engineer, Burnt by the Sun, etc...
