This band is actually kinda of hard to describe. There's the obvious grind and hardcore influence, but there are many other influences like southern rock and psychedelic rock there as well(not overpowering though).
Pretty intense mathy sludge from Baltimore. Really kind of reminds me of a lot of the new Rochester bands, in the vein of Knut, Engineer, Burnt by the Sun, etc...
Very fast grindcore/power-violence from Manitoba. I wish they were still around since they were just about as good as any other band out there. But I heard their last show was heavily protested by christian groups from the area. Which is pretty awesome that they were able piss off that many people with otherwise very underground music.

Awesome technical death/grind from Orange County. This is just a three song EP, but its really good. I think that they should have a full length released sometime in '09.
Another great old school death/grind band. These guys remind me a lot of Terrorizer, Autopsy and the like.

I'm really not sure how you would go about raping a sun(in fact it may be the sun that is doing the raping), but if I were to hold a contest I would say these guys would definitely be near the top of the list. Not sure if I was supposed to have heard of this band, but I feel like I should have since it is that good. Soooooo, get it while its hot(though it is a 6 year old release)-->.

Probably the heaviest band on the face of the planet. I literally cannot think of a band that has more massive low end than this one. If you like it slow and heavy(that's what she said), than this album's definitely for you.

A very good release by an always amazing band.
This is a 5 song(6 counting the intro) promo of a band I haven't heard anything from. But this sounds really promising, so I'm looking forward to future releases for sure.
