Iblis - Menthell

Photobucket

From: Poland
Year: 2012
Genre: Nuklear Rock n Roll

I fucking love this album. Iblis are a genre defying avante-garde black/death/jazz/funk/noisecore/grind/progressive rock (and whatever the hell else) band bent on dragging you into their schizophrenic mindscape where laughter, despair and madness randomly coalesce into some of the most mind bending metal I’ve heard. Though they call it Nuklear Rock n’ Roll. Take Cephalic Carnage, Atheist, Deathspell Omega, Virus, Primus and Enslaved, throw them into a swirling vortex of insanity narrated by the cries, whispers, screams, whistles, grunts and singing of an unhinged lunatic whose voice might very well turn some of you away (but if you give it a chance it compliments the music perfectly) and you get a rough idea of Iblis. Obviously the musicianship is stellar, it has to be to successfully pull off this kind of heterogeneous musical mash–up. Anyway, check it out. Losing your mind has never sounded so good. Go to Death to Music to download a free copy from the label or to buy an actual CD.
