Begrime Exemious - Visions of the Scourge

From: Canada
Year: 2012
Genre: Blackened Death Metal

Where alot of blackened death metal sounds like the onslaught of a nuclear war, BE sound, to me, like the aftermath, when humanity rips one another to shreds in a last bid for resources and faith. The guitar sound is like rusty razor blades being dragged across barbed wire. And the vocalist sounds like he's been chewing on something similar. They lean heavier on the punk side than most of their peers, which further helps to set them apart. The sound is a bit thinner than their last album, which I prefer over this album, production wise, but the disgustingly savage and raw intensity that they've captured will win over most other fans. Get a copy from Dark Descent before your disease ridden carcass gets shredded by jackals.
